'Cos you went swimming with the fishes,
Down where the water is so black,
You took a blind leap of faith,
It was the hardest thing to do,
But when the rip-tide caught you,
You left us all searching for clues.

But in the end we'll get there, under a sea of ice,
Cos' we've been sinking like an old stone,
For most our lives.

So when she rolled up to the front door,
You carried all of this outside,
Dragging every piece of baggage,
To go and sink it without pride,
You threw it off some State bridge,
And watched it fall into the deep,
And so the rip tide swallowed it,

After all this time, you'd think we'd learn,
